Orthodontic Treatment for Children

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that an initial orthodontic evaluation should occur around age 7. Some orthodontic problems may be easier to correct if they are identified early. The ideal time to treat children varies with each individual child and is based on their unique diagnosis. For some patients, this may mean initiating treatment before all of their permanent teeth have erupted. For others, it's best to wait until all of the permanent teeth have come in to begin treatment. We would love to meet your child and help you to decide if and when orthodontic treatment might be right for them.
